Bill's wife and William's mother. After Bill's death, she becomes a house cleaner and tries to steer William away from storm chasing. When William runs away to Texas, she contacts Roy and travels west with Harper to find him. She confronts Zane's reckless behavior, joins William and Roy in seeking shelter, and survives a tornado by hiding underwater in a pool. She ultimately expresses pride in her son's bravery.
