A wealthy Polish nobleman who visits his sick uncle Witold in 1840s Lviv. Initially condescending and frightening to Anna, he gradually falls in love with her. Their romance is revealed to be forbidden because he was previously married to a relative of Anna's. He is arrested at the end of Season 1, and his fate is revealed in Season 2 without further appearances.
