Initially romantically involved with Mrs. Schmidt. He overhears Schmidt and Kráner's theft plot and demands a share. Later, he is beaten by his own conspirators, but when Irimiás takes over, Futaki chooses to become a watchman, receives a payout, and leaves independently.
