A traveling magician and con artist from Kansas swept into the Land of Oz by a tornado. He initially deceives the locals by posing as the prophesied wizard, using illusions and technology to maintain his facade. Over time, he forms bonds with Glinda, Finley, and China Girl, ultimately embracing responsibility as the ruler of Oz while continuing his charade.
