An illiterate, devoutly religious boxer from Tennessee known as the Tennessee Champ for his powerful punch. After mistakenly believing he killed a man, he goes on the lam and refuses to throw a fixed match due to his Christian convictions. He later discovers his opponent is the man he thought he killed.
