The owner of the 'Black Cats' aerial circus. He runs dangerous stunts and becomes enraged by the budding romance between his wife Ann and Bud Murray. To eliminate his rival, Speed secretly sabotages Bud's parachute to stage an aerial murder during a planned head-on collision stunt.
