Biography

Andreas van Riet is a filmmaker from Amsterdam. Since 2020, he has written, directed, and edited eight short films, including an adaptation of Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis, in which he also played the lead, and made a feature film at nineteen years old. In 2021, he completed a course in Documentary filmmaking at the Open Studio in Amsterdam, and in 2024, he graduated with a bachelor's in Filmmaking from the London Film Academy, where he wrote and directed one of the graduation films. His films have won multiple awards, screened at festivals around the world, and earned him a mention in Deadline as "emerging talent."
