Arkadi is a masked actor involved in the secret film production, posing as the killer during a sadistic scene. Billy Hughes witnesses him brutally stab the Actress, and he later kills the studio watchman and attacks Billy in her apartment. Billy manages to electrocute him with a hairdryer during their struggle.
Stepan is an old friend of Mika who draws him into violent assignments against people described as criminals. Later, he tries to reassure Mika that those killed deserved punishment, but Mika can no longer accept that certainty.
