Roberto Hurtado is a wealthy, elderly, seriously ill man whose rare blood disease requires repeated transfusions of young, healthy blood. His son Adolfo and doctor Hughes arrange his care, while Florencia, Perfecto, and Ever supply stolen blood. Roberto eventually realizes that a boy has been harmed for his transfusion, suffers a seizure, and dies after receiving the wrong blood.
