Hannah Schweier, born in 1980 in Munich, first studied philosophy, psychology and theater studies in her hometown, before she was admitted to the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2003. In 2007 she opened the Perspektive Deutsches Kino perspective at the Berlinale with her film "Upright".
