Biography

Jacob Craycroft is an American film editor. He began his editing career in the late 1990s and has since contributed to more than 40 features and shorts. His early work includes editing Robert Altman's A Prairie Home Companion (2006), which was an official selection at the Berlin Film Festival. One of his notable projects is the documentary Breath Control: The History of the Human Beat Box (2002). Craycroft also worked on the film Bruised (2020), earning a 2022 nomination for Outstanding Editing at the Black Reel Awards, shared with Terilyn A. Shropshire. His filmography also includes Brigsby Bear (2017) and Barry (2016). He has also edited Paper Towns (2015), My Old Lady (2014), and Robot & Frank (2012), among others. He studied at Vassar College, and he is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
