Lloyd Phillips, born in South Africa and raised in New Zealand, was a talented creative producer and physical line producer best known for Man of Steel (2013), Vertical Limit (2000) and Twelve Monkeys (1995) as well as winning the best live-action short film Oscar for The Dollar Bottom (1981). He died from a heart attack in January 2013 in Los Angeles, California, USA three years before his wife, Beau St. Clair who was also a film producer, also passed away in January 2016.
