Dan Young was an American photographer born on the Navajo Reservation at Window Rock, Arizona. His friendship with Norwegian photographer Arild Kristo brought him to Norway in 1962. Together with Robert A. Robinson the three founded Manité, a photo collective related to the Magnum group.
