Edward is a younger, androgynous gardener who becomes involved with Laurie after she leaves Corbi for the beach house. Corbi's surveillance and violence threaten their relationship, but Edward remains part of Laurie's attempt to break free. She uses his soft appearance in a plan to deceive and humiliate Corbi.
