Jack grew up in Brisbane and found a love of the arts through seeing Shakespeare on stage and illegally burning obscure films from his local video store for his collection. He went to the University of Queensland to study writing, then moved to Sydney to pursue an acting career, where he was featured in several film and television roles. Although enjoying his time on set, he felt the need to develop a process, and upon being accepted into the Howard Fine Acting Studio, he moved to Melbourne. Despite his love for acting, his desire to make films became a relentless pursuit, so he completed a master’s in film and television at VCA, where he made his graduate film, Ruby and Tom Take a Cake to a Wedding. He still lives in Melbourne today with his partner, two German short-haired pointers, two cows and two mini horses. His aim is to make as many films as he can, big or small, before he dies.
