Jonathan Freeman (born February 5, 1950) is an American actor, puppeteer and singer who is best known for voicing Jafar in Disney's Aladdin franchise. He portrayed Jafar in four animated films, eight video games including the Kingdom Hearts series, the television series House of Mouse, a 2011 Broadway musical, and other Aladdin media. Other film appearances include Forever, Lulu (1987), The Ice Storm (1997), and The High Note (2020). On television, Freeman performed the puppeteering and voice for Tito Swing on the PBS series Shining Time Station (1989 - 1995) and had a recurring role as Rollie Pruitt on AMC's Remember WENN (1996 - 1998). Freeman has worked extensively in theater, particularly in musicals. Broadway credits include How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Producers, On the Town, 42nd Street, The Little Mermaid, and a Tony-nominated role in She Loves Me.
