Biography

Maja Beckmann was engaged in the ensemble of the Bochumer Schauspielhaus from 2001 to 2013, where she also completed trainee training from 2002 to 2005. She performed there in numerous productions, including under the direction of Jürgen Kruse, Matthias Hartmann, and Elmar Goerden. From 2013 to 2015, Maja Beckmann performed theater in the ensemble of the Staatstheater Stuttgart. She is known to a broader audience as Sabine 'Sabbel' Buhrer in the TV series "Stromberg." Her first lead role in a feature film was in Die Österreichische Methode, which was released in German cinemas in 2008. Alongside her, Veronika Bayer, Marita Breuer, Waldemar Kobus, and Laurens Walter appeared in it. The feature film premiered at the Hofer Filmtage. Since the 2016/17 season, Maja Beckmann has been a permanent ensemble member at the Münchner Kammerspiele.
