Billy Brown was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He was raised in a comfortable upper-middle-class suburb; however, tragedy struck when he was only 16 years old. His mother, father, and sister died in a plane crash. Later in life Billy Brown moved to the Alaskan bush with his wife Ami. Billy and Ami raised seven children in the Alaskan wilderness. Billy and his family gained notoriety when they appeared in the reality television series "Alaskan Bush People." Billy is known as an avid hunter, expert outdoorsman, and a family patriarch. After deteriorating health, Billy passed away at the age of 68 with his family by his side.
