A ten-year-old boy who runs away from Adana to escape his violent stepfather, who abuses both him and his mother. In Istanbul, he takes refuge with a group of street children led by Velit. When he becomes ill from the hardships of street life, his friends arrange for him to stay with an older acquaintance at a coffeehouse.
