Jack is Edith Banton’s husband and the father of their three-year-old child. He deserts them for Havana, where he becomes involved with Juanita. On his return, he blackmails Edith and abducts the child; Edith buys her freedom from him, and he is later slain by a Cuban infatuated with Juanita.
