He is an Egyptian music icon and pianist. He graduated from the Cairo Conservatoire in 1977. He studied at the Vienna Music Academy and obtained his Higher Arts Degree. He worked in various positions at the Cairo Conservatoire. One of his most important achievements was the establishment of the Chamber Orchestra of the Hanager Center of the Ministry of Culture in 1994, and he was its leader until 1999. He has composed many musical compositions and authored soundtracks for many important films with many renowned directors. He is known for Kit Kat (1991) and Messages from the Sea (2010). He received several awards at many festivals.
