An eunuch horseman who cares for Wen Xiu while teaching her to herd horses in the countryside. He is her only friend and remains emotionally loyal after she loses hope and is exploited by passing men. Enraged when she is raped, he tries to attack the offender, and ultimately obeys her request to shoot her before killing himself.
