Character Relationships in A Love Never Lost

Liang Xiang (played by Li Xian) is a protagonist in A Love Never Lost. A noble Chinese youth and one of five aspiring young people whose fates become closely linked after China’s defeat in the First Sino-Japanese War. He studies in Japan with Yang Kaizhi and Li Renjun, takes oaths and pursues the goal of revitalizing China, then returns home to seek a path toward a wealthy nation with strong soldiers. His efforts draw him into a struggle for power. Liang Xiang's mother (played by Wu Yue) appears in A Love Never Lost.
