Plot Progression

1. Witness Under Fire — Jamie survives the ambush that kills the Marshals and reaches the mall for refuge. Charlie begins pressuring the guards to surrender her.
2. Fortifying the Mall — The mall guards prepare homemade bombs and traps while Charlie threatens his own men and their families. The defenses turn the mall into a temporary stronghold.
3. The Siege Takes Its Toll — The mercenaries attack and suffer losses from the improvised defenses. Johnny dies, Ruby is mortally wounded, and the defenders face increasingly severe losses.
4. False Rescue — Supposed US Marshals arrive, but mercenary tattoos expose them as impostors. Mason dies and Vance is presumed dead as the siege reaches its lowest point.
5. The Last Counterattack — Jamie radios for help while Dead Eyes attacks, but the jammer is disabled and the attacking specialists are eliminated. Charlie reaches Jamie and is killed.
