Story Analysis

A medical investigation exposes a failed experiment that transforms an escaped tarantula into a catastrophic threat to a desert town.

Plot Progression

1. The Desert Mystery — A deformed body is discovered in the Arizona desert. Dr. Matt Hastings rejects the ordinary medical explanation and begins tracing the unusual condition.
2. Fire in the Laboratory — The isolated laboratory contains enormous experimental animals and a dangerous scientific project. A deformed assistant's rampage breaks the tarantula's cage and starts a fire.
3. The White Liquid — Mysterious cattle deaths and pools of white liquid reveal that the escaped tarantula is growing rapidly. Hastings collects physical evidence while the danger spreads.
4. The Venom Revelation — Hastings finds the laboratory director dying from the same deformity and learns that the nutrient was tested on researchers. Scientific analysis identifies the white substance as tarantula venom.
