Plot

Manickavasagam intervenes in a village caste conflict and agrees to remain to help resolve ongoing local disputes. This decision provokes Marudhanayagam, a wealthy resident strictly enforcing caste boundaries who previously murdered his brother for an inter-caste marriage. Lakshmi’s son Kathir intends to construct a new factory, but Manickavasagam prohibits the factory construction. Consequently, Kathir forms an alliance with Marudhanayagam. Manickavasagam ultimately kills Marudhanayagam....
