Plot Progression

1. The Staged Assassination — Siva Reddy arranges a fake assassination attempt to gain electoral sympathy. Nandu and Malli are hired, but the operation becomes a real murder and forces Nandu to run.
2. The Borrowed Identity — Nandu escapes onto a train and reaches Basarlapudi after the returning relative is shot. The household mistakes him for its lost family member and welcomes him.
3. A Family Earned — Nandu becomes involved in the family's problems, protects its interests, and supports a wedding. He develops feelings for Poori and confides his identity to Ramana.
4. Truth Tears Them Apart — The investigation reaches Basarlapudi and exposes Nandu's identity to the household. Although the family is devastated, Ramana and Satyanarayana Murthy recognize Nandu's genuine sacrifices.
5. The Conspiracy Unmasked — With Satyanarayana Murthy's shotgun, Nandu pursues the hidden truth and records a confession. Malli dies when the obstructed shotgun backfires, and the political conspiracy collapses.
