Plot Progression

1. Lightning and Return — Kumaran is struck by lightning, falls into a brief coma, and later discovers extraordinary powers. Fourteen years afterward, he returns to Veeranor with visions of its destruction.
2. The Cable Threat — Kumaran learns that JACL intends to install dangerous laser cables across the village. Official warnings fail because the villagers remain skeptical and the police are bribed.
