Plot Progression

1. The Scarab Awakens — The Alchemist's ancient device survives into the modern era and is found by Jesus Gris. Its activation restores his youth while introducing a dangerous blood hunger.
2. Hunger Beneath Youth — Gris's physical renewal becomes increasingly disturbing, and Aurora notices that something is wrong. De la Guardia begins pursuing the mechanism through his abused nephew Angel.
3. Death Refused — Gris gives in to the need for blood and is attacked by Angel. After being pushed from a cliff, Gris revives and returns home with sunlight now threatening his altered body.
4. The False Way Out — Gris and Aurora take the mechanism to De la Guardia in exchange for an escape from its curse. The proposed bargain becomes an attempted murder, followed by Gris feeding on the businessman.
5. Breaking Immortality — Angel kills De la Guardia and confronts Gris on the rooftop, where Angel dies during the struggle. Aurora revives Gris, and Gris destroys the mechanism rather than continue its cycle.
