Al Simmons / Spawn (played by Michael Jai White) is a protagonist in Spawn.
Former CIA operative and Marine who is murdered and resurrected as a Hellspawn after making a pact with Malebolgia. He returns to Earth to see his wife, discovers a biological weapon conspiracy, and learns to control his demonic powers with Cogliostro's help. After defeating the Violator and foiling the apocalypse, he chooses to fight for justice on Earth rather than reclaim his past life. Jason Wynn (played by Martin Sheen) is a protagonist in Spawn.
