Story Analysis

Ninja warriors investigate a deadly crash, battle extraterrestrial attackers, rescue a possessed comrade, and unknowingly carry a surviving biological threat home.

Plot Progression

1. The Skyfall Investigation — Yamata, Jinnai, and Nezumi investigate a mysterious crash and find mutilated ninja remains. Rin's group joins them, while a village survivor points toward a larger threat.
2. Aliens Among The Shadows — The unknown attackers reveal themselves as aliens and assault the combined ninja groups. The battle kills several ninjas, leaves three aliens dead, and allows one alien to take Jinnai.
3. The Village Of Corpses — Nezumi flees to his home village but witnesses its massacre and is killed by an alien. Meanwhile, Jinnai awakens captive in an abandoned temple.
4. The Temple Hosts — An organism takes control of Jinnai, and the dead ninjas become manipulated hosts. Yamata and Rin identify the organisms' weakness and fight to save Jinnai.
5. The Winged Final Battle — Yamata confronts the last alien in a cave and attaches a bomb before escaping its flight. He survives, reunites with his comrades, and unknowingly carries forward an organism threat.
