Plot Progression

1. Storm Beyond the World — Artemis and her United Nations security team are transported from an Earth desert into the New World. They discover the remains of a missing team and face the nearly unstoppable Diablos.
2. The Lair of Spawn — The survivors retreat into a cave but are overwhelmed by Nerscyllas. Artemis awakens in their lair, discovers the fate of her team, and escapes through fire.
3. A Reluctant Partnership — Artemis fights the Hunter before joining forces with him. He teaches her to use his weapons, and they plan to cross the desert by killing the Diablos.
4. Across the Monster Desert — Artemis kills the Diablos but carries the badly wounded Hunter toward the Sky Tower. At the oasis, the Admiral's group rescues them and explains the portal system.
