Plot Progression

1. The First Wormhole — Jim, Chuck, and Matty complete their machine and conduct its first test. A Dahlia flower emerges, proving that the experiment has produced an extraordinary result.
2. Ownership Under Pressure — Jim depends on Meisner's radioactive material for the second test. His meeting with Abby develops into romance while her connection to Meisner threatens his control of the research.
3. The Price of Betrayal — Meisner uses the flower to reduce Jim's ownership to one percent. Heartbroken and desperate, Jim enters the machine during the second test and is transported into the past.
4. A Parallel Second Run — The displaced Jim tries to prevent the theft of his research, but his body deteriorates near the original Jim. Chuck and Matty help him understand that he has entered a parallel universe.
