Plot Progression

1. Trauma Beneath Escape — Chihiro survives a recorded assault during adolescence and leaves her hometown for Tokyo. She gradually rebuilds her life and enters a new relationship, but the past remains unresolved.
2. The Apartment Siege — A former tormentor tracks Chihiro down and invades her apartment. Threats involving old photographs and social isolation restore the atmosphere of helplessness.
3. Freezing The Past — Chihiro kills the intruder and hides the body in a freezer. Atsushi arrives, discovers the corpse, becomes threatening, and is also killed before his body is stored.
4. Rot And Collapse — Minoru finds Chihiro, assaults her, and is killed while playing video games. A power outage thaws the bodies, and the resulting decay drives Chihiro toward fever, panic, and final collapse.
