Plot Progression

1. War and Hidden Treachery — A renewed war creates the need for a new Field Marshal. Dong Yilong and Chu Hun join the tournament, while Grand Tutor Guan secretly reveals his allegiance to Northern Yan.
2. A Fractured Tournament Team — After a scorpion attack kills their third warrior, the Qingyuan team accepts Binu. Her attempted revenge against Chu Hun exposes the personal wounds carried into the competition.
3. Trials Beneath the Mountain — The team survives the chain challenge and Guan's hidden attacks. During the Beast King trial, Dong helps the wounded creature and secures a cure for Chu Hun.
4. The Heir and the Loss — Guan turns the tournament into a death contest. A vision identifies Dong as the heir to Northern Yan, and the young girl is killed while Chu Hun is captured.
