Plot Progression

1. A Cure With Conditions — The zombie plague has devastated the world, while the returned survive only through daily treatment. Kate secretly gathers black market doses as discrimination and violence spread.
2. Shelter Under Suspicion — Alex becomes infected and tells Jacob, who accepts him. Violent protests, quarantine camps, attempted murder, and police searches force Kate and Alex into Jacob and Amber's home.
3. The Vanishing Supply — Kate's treatment source dies, with evidence pointing toward Amber. Alex discovers Jacob's note and learns that the remaining doses were taken to protect Amber.
4. A Cure Destroyed — Kate obtains the hospital's entire treatment stash, but a struggle destroys every dose. Alex is left chained to a wall as his final day of human life runs out.
