Jacq Vaucan (played by Antonio Banderas) is a protagonist in Automata.

He travels outside the city, discovers evolved robots in the desert, provides them with a nuclear battery, and returns to fight ROC assassins to protect them. He ultimately survives his injuries and drives to the coast with his wife and child. Dr. Susan Dupré / Cleo (played by Melanie Griffith) is a protagonist in Automata.
