Plot Progression

1. The Forbidden Ghost Game — Chong-Kwai welcomes his friends to Thailand and shows them a book about ten ways to see ghosts. Curiosity leads the group to play the game and encounter spirits.
2. The Search Begins — Kofei disappears after going to a tree in the woods during the game. April stays in Thailand to search for him while May returns to Hong Kong.
3. The Curse Revealed — April disappears, and May continues seeing ghosts in Hong Kong. Chong-Kwai investigates the book's shop and learns that the friends are cursed and must finish the game.
4. Across the Ghostly Threshold — May and the others return to Thailand and perform the final part of the game. They enter a ghostly dimension and locate Kofei.
5. An Escape Without Exit — The group meets April and learns that she died after believing Kofei was dead. Kofei stays with her, while the attempted escape leaves May and the others trapped in another ghostly dimension.
