Plot Progression

1. Tokyo Without A Safety Net — Ryuichi, Shunrei, and Chan leave their rural background and arrive in Shinjuku. After Anita steals their wallets, the trio turns to selling toluene to survive.
2. Anita Seeks A Way Out — Anita leaves prostitution after suffering abuse from a client and her pimp. The youths reconcile with her and begin preparing a joint escape from Japan.
3. The Robbery Breaks The Trio — The group obtains fake passports and a gun, then robs Wong with Anita. Ikeda's ambush leaves Chan fatally wounded and causes the group's escape plan to collapse.
4. A Debt Paid In Blood — Chan dies after entrusting his share to the others. Shunrei delivers the money to Chan's mother but is then run over while Wong's men pursue him.
5. The Port Offers No Escape — Ryuichi and Anita reach the port, but Wong is waiting. Anita kills Wong, and the pair jump into the water before the story ends with their uncertain, bloodied departure.
