Story Analysis

Plot Progression

1. The Venomous Connection — Jason survives a taipan bite and develops a telepathic link with the creature. Haunted by its killings, he arranges for the snake to be captured and transported.
2. Cargo Hold Betrayal — Crowley recruits a sailor to help steal the snake during its transport. The plan collapses when the sailor is bitten and dies aboard the ship.
3. Laboratory Escape — The taipan is held at a university laboratory while Crowley follows its trail. A break-in and an opened container allow the overheated snake to escape and kill inside the facility.
4. A City Under Threat — The escaped snake searches for a temperate environment and attacks nearby locations. Jason witnesses the violence through his psychic connection while authorities struggle to understand the danger.
