Character Relationships in Stalker

Paula (played by Anna Brecon) is a protagonist in Stalker. Successful author who retreats to a country house to write, but suffers from severe writer's block and childhood trauma nightmares. She develops a violent alter ego named Linda to cope with past abuse. As Linda takes control, Paula becomes trapped in her own home, eventually reclaiming control to warn others before dying in a forest. Linda (played by Jane March) appears in Stalker. Initially introduced as Paula's assistant, Linda is actually a violent split personality created to protect Paula from past trauma. She gradually seizes control of Paula's life, murders several individuals, and ultimately attacks outsiders before being killed in a struggle.
