Plot Progression

1. The Presentation Turns Deadly — Kwon Se-jeong attends a corporate presentation while separate visitors move through the building. A personal accusation triggers the slime mold outbreak and locks the building down.
2. Trapped Beneath the Swarm — Survivors gather in the shopping mall as the infected spread. Kwon identifies their shared intelligence, while Lee reveals that the outbreak's creator may possess a vaccine.
3. The Failed Route Upward — The group uses chemical scents and sprinklers to cross the building. Their apparent route to evacuation collapses when the mastermind exploits the infected's shared vision.
4. The Control Room Collapse — The survivors descend toward the control room while internal disagreements expose their position. Sacrifices, betrayal, and the deaths of key survivors destroy the group.
5. A Citywide Collective — The mastermind escapes into the city with infected special forces. Kwon overloads the collective system, causing the infected to freeze, but a final movement suggests the threat remains.
