After a three-year secret project at Allcom, he wakes with no memory, receives an envelope of seemingly random items, and is framed by the FBI. Rachel Porter (played by Uma Thurman) is a protagonist in Paycheck. A biologist working at Allcom who becomes romantically involved with Jennings. After his memory wipe, she is initially mistaken for a body double sent by Rethrick but proves loyal and rescues Jennings. Together, they uncover microdot evidence of the machine's catastrophic future predictions and agree to destroy it, eventually fleeing with Jennings to start a new life. James Rethrick (played by Aaron Eckhart) appears in Paycheck. CEO of Allcom and Jennings' college roommate who hires him for a high-paying, isolated three-year contract. After Jennings' memory wipe, Rethrick discovers his former friend has hidden a future-seeing machine. During the climax, Wolfe attempts to use the future-seeing machine to track the protagonists but is killed when Jennings' explosive booby-trap detonates, destroying the device. Agent Dodge (played by Joe Morton) appears in Paycheck. An FBI agent who detains Jennings, accusing him of stealing classified government designs linked to the deceased William Dekker. During the final raid on Allcom, his agents storm the facility and accidentally kill Rethrick instead of Jennings. Dodge later conceals Jennings' watch and officially declares him dead to cover up the incident.
