Plot Progression

2. The Substitute Crown — After the king is drugged, Ha-sun is placed on the throne during the recovery period. He is trained to imitate the king in appearance and conduct.
3. A Better Ruler — Ha-sun begins making humane observations and fair judgments in court. His respect for servants improves morale and earns the Eunuch's admiration.
4. Suspicion At Court — Ha-sun defends the queen and her brother from death sentences, revealing his moral difference from the original ruler. Park Chung-seo notices the change and investigates.
