Plot Progression

1. The Society That Watches — Kristi lives on XT-59 under surveillance, assigned occupations, arranged marriages, and strict social rules. The arrival of prisoners suggests an escape from the life imposed on her.
2. Into The Killing Swamp — The prisoners are exiled to the swamps under the false promise of the Islands of Happiness. Ervin plans a route, Matias sacrifices his position, and Kristi follows Ervin through the danger.
3. Calculations Under Fire — Ervin uses mathematics and observation to predict threats while the authorities pursue the fugitives. The group struggles to find food and shelter as the hunt intensifies.
