Plot Progression

1. Birthday Before The Invasion — Jarrod and Elaine arrive in Los Angeles for Terry's birthday party. Their private argument ends with Elaine revealing her pregnancy just before the alien attack begins.
2. The Blue-Light Harvest — Alien lights hypnotize people and collect them through descending machines. Terry saves Jarrod, but the survivors quickly discover that escape routes are deadly.
3. Condominium Siege — The survivors encounter tentacled creatures in the garage, losing Denise, Terry, Colin, and Jen. Jarrod, Elaine, Oliver, and Candice hide inside the condominium.
4. A Failed Human Counterattack — Military forces attack the alien mothership, but the nuclear strike fails to destroy it. Jarrod realizes that the alien light has changed him and commits to protecting Elaine.
5. The Alien Transformation — The rooftop battle destroys Oliver and Candice and leaves Jarrod and Elaine captured. Inside the mothership, Jarrod is transformed and turns against the aliens to protect Elaine and their child.
