Story Analysis

A teenager and his future self alter Alltale's recorded reality in an effort to save Ruri, confronting the cost and instability of rewriting the past.

Plot Progression

1. The Future Self's Warning — A yatagarasu leads the teenage Naomi to his adult self, who explains Alltale and Ruri's coma. Naomi accepts the mission and receives God's Hand.
2. A Romance Rewritten — Following guidance from the adult Naomi's diary, the teenager grows closer to Ruri and they fall in love. On the festival night, he follows instructions to keep her away from the original incident.
3. The System Fights Back — Alltale's Homeostatic System intervenes after Naomi changes the recorded events. He erases the lightning threat, but the adult Naomi takes Ruri away and disappears, revealing a more complicated plan.
