By tracing back some sequences from both films ( Germany year zero (Germania anno zero, Roberto Rossellini, 1948) & Ivan's childhood (Ivanovo destvo, Andrei Tarkovski, 1962) ) and placing their images side by side we discover secret links between the journeys of the two child protagonists.
