Plot Progression

1. The Resistance Begins — Five souls are abducted and brought into a secret resistance movement. Their recruitment is intended to prevent them from leaving the Great Before for Earth.
2. Inspiration Breaks The Group — The recruits begin finding their own inspirations despite the resistance. Peanut, Zimmy, and D-Pac leave for Earth in succession.
3. The Last Recruit — Moonbeam also finds an inspiration and departs, leaving Macaroni alone as the final recruit. The movement's opposition to Earth is reduced to one remaining friendship.
4. A Friendship Becomes Inspiration — Macaroni remains devoted and offers a final hug as the only remaining friend. That devotion completes the inspiration that sends Macaroni toward Earth.
