Plot Progression

1. The Package From Pedro — José and Ana receive Pedro's film reel, cassette, and apartment key. The cassette leads them into flashbacks of José's earlier encounters with Pedro.
2. Filmmakers And Memories — José first meets Pedro while scouting a location with Marta and later shares heroin with him. José sends Pedro an interval timer, then returns with Ana and receives a personal glimpse of Pedro's past.
3. The Red Frames — Pedro's camera films him during sleep and produces unexplained red frames. He becomes dependent on the ritual because stopping it causes withdrawal symptoms while filmed sleep leaves him revitalized.
4. Marta Disappears — Pedro asks Marta to watch him sleep, but the camera moves toward her and she disappears. Pedro realizes the film is nearly entirely red and sends his evidence to José.
